Hootenanny!

April 11 @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

A hootenanny is defined as ‘an informal, lively gathering or party featuring folk music, singing, and dancing.’ Join us for a hootenanny where we will swap songs, join in on the chorus, and trade jokes. Need lyrics and chord sheets? A great source are the song books ‘Rise Up Singing’ and ‘Rise Again’ by Annie Patterson and Peter Blood.  We’ll have a few copies to share if you don’t already have your own. The hootenanny is NOT limited to these books. Bring your favorites!

Chris and Emily Beebe are founding members of the Yahara River Hootenanny, founded on the front stoop of the Yahara River Grocery Cooperative in Stoughton, WI 18 or so years ago. The co-op is now gone, but the hootenanny lives on in Stoughton, and now, in Baraboo.
