This longstanding event celebrates playing acoustic music in any style with a tradition of jamming or sessions.
There are no performers. There are no audiences;
just musicians who are playing and others who are listening
Please come, sit in and play along in “the tradition” at any scheduled or spontaneous jam.
We play Old Time, Cajun, Irish, Bluegrass, Upper Midwest Traditional, Scandinavian, Country/Roots even Manouche Jazz.
Any acoustic string music with a jamming tradition is welcome.
We welcome instruments without strings too.
Particularly those that customarily appear in any of these traditions (as long as they are not so loud as to overwhelm the sound of a fiddle).
In the past we have enjoyed pennywhistles, harmonicas, triangles, bodhrans and even the occasional accordion.
