A capella singing workshop

Join folksinger Matthew DeChant for an acapella folk singaround. A singaround is a gathering of people who sing songs together, especially songs that have repeating choruses or call-and-response structures that allow for group singing. Think sea shanties, work songs, ballads, etc., although any song that can be sung by a group is welcome. Songbooks will be provided as a starting point, but anyone is welcome and encouraged to bring a song to teach to the group. Do you feel like you can’t sing? Then community singing is perfect for you, because it’s not about the final product, it’s about the act itself of making merry noise as humans always have and always will.
